Dear Chief Executive,

The FTSE Women Leaders Review –  Gender Data Submission for 2021

We would like to thank all companies who have worked hard to improve the gender balance in their leadership teams and for submitting details of progress to facilitate the annual reporting process of the Hampton-Alexander Review. Government remains committed to levelling up opportunities for women and girls and as the country is building back from the trials of the past year it is more important than ever to ensure that companies are making full use of our talented workforce.

Government Ministers, the Review sponsors Lloyds Banking Group and KPMG, and the Steering Group are finalising the next stage of this Review. I am therefore writing to inform you about the 2021 data collection process. The submission process will take place again via the secure portal on the FTSE Women Leaders Review website. The facility will continue to gather data on the number of men and women on both the Executive Committee and Direct Reports to the Executive Committee as at 31 October 2021 and the turnover during the preceding twelve months. The Review will publish its report on boards and executive leaders in early 2022 and we will soon invite you to an event for this publication.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to reporting positively on progress in the representation of women in decision-making positions and improving gender equality in the workplace.

Yours sincerely

Andrew Death
